The Peak Journey

The maps and directions in the Guidebook should keep you on the right path. But, just in case you wander off route engrossed in conversation, you should have with you the Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 map OL24 The Peak District - White Peak area. This single map covers the whole of the route. The whole route covers 39 miles and can be done in as many days as suits you.

Way marks are fixed on posts along the way with a few necessary gaps. Please look out for them but don't wholly rely on them so do use the maps and directions in the Guide too

Christians believe the Bible is the map of life that keeps us on the right track. That is why there are verses to collect at the various churches and a small free gift at the end:

“The Lord will teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths” Isaiah ch 2v3

All I am saying is, what with the Ordnance Survey, the Bible, the footpath signs, way-marks, the well-defined trails and the directions & maps in this guide, if you do get lost don’t blame me!
