Monyash

The walk to Monyash takes you along the ‘Tissington Trail’ – an old railway line across the High Peak. A popular café and the Bulls Head pub stand next to each other on the square.

The village cross was erected in 1340 when the village gained a charter for a weekly market.

St Leonard’s church was built out of local limestone in 1100 and contains a retired Rolls Royce of funeral carriages.
